Just uploaded a new video to Youtube, sorry its late, I did it the other day and I have been having problems uploading it! Hope you enjoy.

This is a picture of my toothpaste box which I constructed and designed for the purpose of displaying my font design in a unique way. Enjoy, and let me know what you think! Tweet me @jessecastewart!

Three fonts down.

I’ve had a great weekend trying to Photoshop loads of fonts after figuring out how to use the pen tool effectively on Illustrator. It has been really tough to think of different ways to present them, I feel that I have done a good job of producing different fonts, howeverI wish that I could have been a lot more inventive. But then again, thats just me. I will post some more images up soon of the various ideas and my final pieces.

This is some final pieces of development and the final presentation of this Fontographer project for the Vista Print font which I re-created. I am very happy with how this one in particular turned out. I Photoshopped some of the website from vistaprint.co.uk and placed my image in over the original one to see how it may look, and honestly it looks believable.

Development of fonts.

I’m finding it crazy difficult to create 20 development pieces for fonts. This is one of the hardest tasks! I don’t know how to develop them very well. I have done a bit of development for the Macleans toothpaste, but its getting harder.

Lots of research!

Hate to admit it, but I’m actually having a good time researching fonts. I’m looking more for how colours and shapes work to create them, and how that makes for good advertising.

Macleans toothpaste website

I have to research this toothpaste brand as part of my font project. Any information would be appreciated!

This font project.

As much as I hat to admit it, I’m finding it fun doing the research! Although I’m worried that I won’t be able to come up with a good enough typography to improve the logo! Well I’ll just have to give it a go, and take inspiration from weird and wondering places.

Trying to draw fonts on my tablet!

Adam’s idea, so I thought I would try one. This is shocking though!

For each photograph which I have taken, I have had permission from the shop managers or customer service advisors for the right to take photographs for educational purposes.

Starting my ‘Fontographer’ project.

I went to the Trafford Centre today to collect some images to get me started with this new project set for University. I have been doing a small bit of research, such as collecting photographs, gathering physical materials and looking on the Internet to discover new typography and logo ideas.

I bought this book called ‘Just My Type’ off Amazon.co.uk to read as research for my new ‘Fontographer’ project. Need to get reading!
